CHARLOTTE – The Big South Conference announced the winners for the 2025 Cross Country Runners of the Year on Thursday afternoon, selecting Hayden Goode as the recipient of the men's award.
 
Goode claimed 62^nd overall at this year's NCAA Southeast Regionals, being the top finisher among all the competitors from the Big South at the meet. He ran a personal best time in the 10K with a 31:04.4.
 
Earlier this fall, he claimed second overall at the Big South Championships with a time of 25:01.0 to help the squad to their sixth consecutive conference championship. His placement earned his First-Team All-Conference accolades as well. He set a personal best time in the 8K at Panorama Farms Invitational to conclude his regular season with a time of 24:38.8. He raced in five meets during the fall, serving as a top four finisher amongst the CSU competitors at each.
 
The indoor track and field schedule will begin at the start of December for the Buccaneers. There will be a group of the team's top distance runners traveling to Boston University for the Sharon Colyear Season Opener.
