Coach White Finalizes 2025-26 Women’s Basketball Recruiting Class

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Charleston Southern women's basketball Head Coach Clarisse White has finalized the Buccaneers' 2025-26 recruiting class.
 
The incoming class features seven newcomers (five transfers and two freshmen) that will join six returners from last year's squad that won the second most conference games ever in a single season.
 
"We are so excited to add these exceptional women to our program," said Coach White "Our staff did a phenomenal job assembling this roster for the upcoming season. These players bring a wealth of basketball experience, which means they have great IQ and feel for the game. We are excited for them to make an impact and are grateful for their commitment to investing with us! We are looking forward to another historic season and are working hard to climb higher every day!"
 
Recruiting Class Breakdown (Numerical order)
 
#0 – Allyzee Verdan | R-Sr. | 6'2 | Forward | French Guiana | Utah State
A 6-foot-2 forward from French Guiana, Allyzee Verdan joins the Buccaneers after spending the last two seasons at Utah State. In 2023-24, she appeared in 24 games for the Aggies, making nine starts and averaging 3.7 points and 3.1 rebounds per contest. She posted back-to-back double-figure scoring efforts against Air Force, including a 10-point, nine-rebound performance late in the season. Prior to Utah State, Verdan played two years at Salt Lake Community College, where she averaged 8.7 points and 5.9 rebounds as a sophomore and earned honorable mention all-conference honors. She played her high school basketball at Bloomington Christian in California.
 
#6 – Aïssé Coulibaly | Fr. | 5'9 | Guard | Paris, France | Hamilton Heights Christian Academy
A 5-foot-9 guard from Paris, France, Aïssé Coulibaly comes to Charleston Southern after a standout senior season at Hamilton Heights Christian Academy. Coulibaly appeared in 17 games for her varsity team, averaging 10.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. Known for her defensive tenacity, she averaged 2.7 defensive rebounds and 2.5 turnovers per game. Coulibaly's all-around play and leadership will be a valuable asset for the Buccaneers as she begins her collegiate career.
 
#7 – Naveyah "Naz" Damon | Jr. | 6'0 | Guard | Miami, FL | Oakland
A 6-foot guard from Miami, Florida, Naveyah "Naz" Damon arrives in Charleston with Division I experience from Oakland University. Over two seasons with the Golden Grizzlies, Damon appeared in 11 games, showing flashes of versatility with efficient shooting from the floor and the free throw line. A decorated prep standout, Damon was a two-time state champion and earned all-conference honors twice. She played her club basketball on the EYBL circuit with Team Durant, winning multiple tournament titles and earning MVP and Defensive Player accolades at premier AAU events, including the Capital Cool Classic and King of Prussia showcase. Off the court, she was a three-time Academic Honor Roll student.
 
#10 – Nevaeh Jones | Fr. | 6'2 | Center | Bastrop, TX | Bastrop High School
A 6-foot-2 center from Bastrop, Texas, Navaeh Jones was a dominant presence at Bastrop High School, averaging 18 points and 14 rebounds per game through her first three seasons. She earned First-Team All-District honors as a freshman and was twice named her team's Offensive MVP during her freshman and sophomore campaigns. Jones has also excelled academically, earning All-Academic honors each year of high school. She looks to make an immediate impact as a freshman for the Buccaneers.
 
#12 – Sydney Bradley | R-So. | 5'10 | Guard | St. Louis, MO | Northwest Florida State College
A 5-foot-10 guard from St. Louis, Missouri, Sydney Bradley joins the Buccaneers after spending last season at Northwest Florida State College where the Raiders captured the NJCAA Division I national championship. Bradley appeared in 32 games, averaging 4.0 points and 11.7 minutes per game. Prior to NWF, Bradley played one season at Evansville where she appeared in 16 games and contributed on both ends of the floor, tallying 22 points, 13 rebounds and three assists in limited action. A product of Westminster Christian Academy, she was an all-district and Metro League all-conference selection after averaging nine points and four rebounds. Bradley helped lead WCA to back-to-back district titles and a run to the elite eight during her prep career.
 
#20 – Thelma Barbitch | R-So. | 5'10 | Guard | Paris, France | UTEP
A 5-foot-10 guard from Paris, France, Thelma Barbitch brings international flair and collegiate experience to the Buccaneers after two seasons at UTEP. As a redshirt-freshman in 2024-25, Barbitch made seven appearances (including one start), logging 43 minutes and pouring in 16 points on efficient shooting — highlighted by a career-high 13 points on 5-of-8 (.625) shooting at Liberty on February 15, 2025, where she led all Miners in scoring. She also posted a career-best two assists at FIU and chipped in four rebounds on the year. After sitting out her true freshman season, Barbitch is poised to make an immediate impact on both ends of the floor in Charleston.
 
#21 – Asha Sra | R-Jr. | 5'9 | Guard | Fresno, CA | Grand Canyon 
A 5-foot-9 guard from Fresno, California, Asha Sra brings three years of experience from Grand Canyon University to the Buccaneers. During the 2024-25 season, she appeared in 28 games and showcased her playmaking skills with 21 assists and 9 steals while contributing defensively with 3 blocks. Sra posted back-to-back three-rebound games early in the year and dished out a season-high six assists against Park (AZ). In 2023-24, she scored a season-best 12 points with six assists and four steals in a win over Arizona Christian. After redshirting her initial collegiate season, Sra has steadily developed as a versatile guard with a strong defensive presence.
