SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Charleston Southern men's golf team finished seventh at The Carolina Cup, hosted by USC Upstate at The Carolina Country Club, with a three-round total of 908 (+44). The Bucs turned in rounds of 303, 302, and 303 across the par-72 layout .
Theo Takman paced CSU with a top-10 finish. He was steady throughout the tournament, carding rounds of 74, 72, and 74 to finish tied for sixth at +4 (220).
Bailey Bjornson also posted a strong outing in his second tournament as a Buc, tying for 18th overall. He opened with a 74, followed with a 75 in the second round, and closed with a 76 to finish at +9 (225).
Sophomore Harrison Parker delivered a solid third round, shooting a 74 on the final day. Combined with his earlier rounds of 76 and 78, he placed tied for 26th at +12 (228).
Dewi John tied for 46th with rounds of 80, 78, and 79 to post a total of 237 (+21).
Rounding out the Buccaneers' lineup was Alex North, who finished 49th. He turned in rounds of 79, 77, and 83 for a three-round total of 239 (+23) .
Charleston Southern will return to action October 13 in Burlington, N.C. at the Elon Phoenix Invitational.
