ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Charleston Southern women's basketball team battled back in the fourth quarter, but Winthrop maintained control from start to finish as the Eagles defeated the Buccaneers 63-54 Saturday afternoon inside the Winthrop Coliseum.

Tyonna Bailey led Charleston Southern with a game-high 30 points and a career-high 12 rebounds, recording her first career double-double as the Buccaneers stayed within striking distance late. Despite Bailey's career performance, Winthrop's 15 steals and 23 points off turnovers proved decisive.
