Buccaneers Race in Lehigh's Paul Short Invitational

BETHLEHEM, PA. – The Buccaneer women traveled to the Northeast earlier this week and raced in the Paul Short Invitational on Friday morning. They claimed a 31st team finish at the meet with a team score of 817 points.

Freya Buglass was the first across the line for the Bucs with a time of 22:29.1 with Adda Helmers and Lucy McNamara also going under 23 minutes in their races with times of 22:40.8 and 22:46.9. Charlize Antia and Sophia Scherwinski had times of 23:02.8 and 23:05.6 to round out the top five for Charleston Southern that scored at the meet.

Following them were Elizabeth Shaylor, Amron Rice and Sienna Rose to conclude the day for the Buccaneers. They had time of 23:14.5, 23:38.7 and 23:48.6.

The Buccaneers have just one more regular season meet remaining for the fall before the Big South Championships at the end of the month. They will compete in the Upstate Invitational on Saturday, October 17 which is also serving as the hosts for the Conference meet on Friday, October 30 and this year's NCAA Southeast Regionals on Friday, November 13.
