BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Charleston Southern women's basketball team fell 56-44 on the road at Gardner-Webb on Wednesday night despite a 24-point, 12-rebound performance from Tyonna Bailey. The double-double marked Bailey's second straight and fourth of the season.
The Buccaneers trailed by just three at halftime before Gardner-Webb used a decisive third quarter and points off turnovers to create separation. CSU shot 30.2 percent from the field and committed 22 turnovers, which the Runnin' Bulldogs converted into 27 points.
Charleston Southern stayed within striking distance early, shooting 33.3 percent in the opening frame and knocking down two three-pointers.
