HIGH POINT, N.C. – The Charleston Southern women's basketball team fell 64-48 on the road Saturday night at High Point.
 
Bailey posted 12 points and 10 rebounds, marking her third-straight double-double and fifth of the season, as the Buccaneers battled one of the Big South's top teams for four quarters.
 
Charleston Southern stayed within striking distance early, trading baskets through the opening minutes. High Point closed the quarter on a late push to take an 11-9 lead after one, holding CSU to 26.7 percent shooting in the period. High Point began to separate in the second quarter, using defensive pressure to force turnovers and convert in transition. The Panthers outscored CSU 19-12 in the frame, extending the lead to 30-21 at halftime.
 
The Buccaneers came out of the locker room with improved energy, scoring 13 points in the third. Charleston Southern continued to compete in the fourth, scoring 14 points and attacking the boards, but High Point's depth and ability to score in transition sealed the outcome. The Panthers pushed the lead to as many as 23 late before closing out the 64-48 victory.

Charleston Southern shot 27.9 percent (17-of-61) from the field and 29.0 percent (9-of-31) from three-point range, while High Point finished at 40.4 percent overall. The Panthers held a 24-8 edge in points in the paint and a 16-3 advantage in fast-break points. CSU committed 21 turnovers, which High Point converted into 21 points.
 
Turning Point
High Point's decisive stretch came late in the first quarter and into the second, when the Panthers used a 14-0 run to turn a single-digit game into a double-digit cushion. That run pushed the lead to nine at halftime and set the tone for the remainder of the contest.
