CHARLOTTE - The Big South announced the preseason polls for Indoor Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field on Thursday afternoon. The Charleston Southern men's and women's teams were each selected as the league's runners-up for the outdoor season following their second-place finishes at the Big South Indoor Championships at the end of February.
High Point was selected as the favorites for each of the polls. They received all but one of the first-place votes in these with the Buccaneers claiming the other first-place vote.
The teams will begin their spring outdoor seasons next weekend with the team splitting up with some heading to compete at the 49er Classic hosted by Charlotte from Thursday, March 19-Saturday, March 21 with others staying in town for the Buccaneer Invitational on Friday, March 20.
