ATLANTA, GA – Charleston Southern rounded out their time at the Georgia Tech Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The Bucs claimed a pair of event titles at the meet with them coming in the 400m and 4x400m relay.
Price won the 400m with a time of 46.16 for a new career best. Despite the faster time, he still ranks third in school history and ninth in league history for the event.
Luciano Custodio,
Hunter Adams and
Jayden Anderson also ran in the event and had times of 48.80, 49.66 and 49.73.
Odin Ferency threw a career best in the discus as he took sixth overall at the meet. He threw for a mark of 49.98m on his second attempt of the day which moves him to fifth in program history.
Tarrell Miles also threw in it and had a best mark on the day of 38.14m.
Laden Beckwith recorded a career best time in the 200m with a 20.90 for fifth overall at the meet with nearly 90 runners in it. His time slides him up to sixth in program history for the event.
Brennan Johnson also ran and had a time of 22.18.
Earlon Baker ran in the 800m and had a time of 1:56.63 in it.
The day ended with the men's 4x400m relay as the Bucs claimed the fastest time at the meet. The relay squad of Custodio, Price, Adams and Beckwith recorded a time of 3:08.68. The time becomes the second-fastest in school history in the event and best since 2008.
Charleston Southern will be back in action next weekend for their final one of the regular season. They will compete in the Charlotte Invitational which will be held from Friday, April 24 through Saturday, April 25 with the Big South Championships to be from Monday, May 11 through Wednesday, May 13.
