GREENVILLE, N.C. – The Charleston Southern women's golf team competed at the Pirate Collegiate Classic, finishing 11th in the 13-team field with a three-round total of 917 (53-over par) in CSU's first tournament under Head Coach Andy Serketich.

The tournament was hosted by East Carolina and played at the Greenville Country Club, a par-72 course measuring 5,974 yards.

Freshman Katerina Šmolíková led the way for the Buccaneers, tying for 38th overall with a three-round total of 224 (8-over par). Šmolíková carded rounds of 76, 75, and 73, closing the tournament with her lowest round of the week.

Swedish freshman Majken Vallmar followed with a tie for 47th-place, posting rounds of 76, 74, and 77 to finish at 227 (11-over par).

Oral Roberts transfer Khloe Jones and senior Summer Griffiths each tied for 59th at 234 (18-over par). Jones carded rounds of 80, 78, and 76, while Griffiths posted rounds of 79, 76, and 79.

Fellow Swedish freshman Ebba Yngvesson rounded out the Buccaneers' lineup, finishing tied for 64th with rounds of 79, 79, and 78 to post a total of 236 (20-over par).

As a team, Charleston Southern opened the tournament with a 310 before improving to 303 in the second round and closing with a 304 in the final round to finish at 917 (53-over par) at the Pirate Collegiate Classic.

The Bucs are back on the course October 4 when they head to Knoxville, Tennessee for the Mercedes Benz Collegiate.
