High School: Abney, a 5-7 guard from Orlando, Fla., starred at Freedom High School under Coach D''Nay Daniels over the past four years culminating in earning the 2016 Metro Player of the Year honors after averaging 25.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game.

Abney earned Florida Association of Basketball Coaches All-Star recognition following her senior year and is a member of the Freedom High School 1,000 point club. In her freshman season, Abney was key to the Patriots'' 2012-13 District Championship run.

In addition to lining up at Freedom, Abney also played on the BlueStar Florida club team under Coach Kelvin Hamm. Off the court, Abney showed off her versatility and speed on the track and was a 2015 regional qualifier.
