Charleston Southern University Athletics

Amir Gilliam joined the Charleston Southern women's basketball staff as a graduate assistant entering the 2022-23 season. The 2024-25 season was his third season as an assistant coach and fourth season overall with the program. Gilliam primarily works with the post and serves in a player development role. 

As a player, Gilliam played two seasons at Northeastern State University. Prior to that, he attended Brookdale Community College in the 2012-13 season, where he led the team to an NJCAA National Championship.
