Carla Bastida Olivares was the final addition to the 2024-25 women's basketball coaching staff, as she was hired as a graduate assistant in August of 2024.
Bastida Olivares joins the staff after a collegiate basketball career at Central Connecticut State, where she spent her final two years and was a Winter Academic Honor Roll recipient. She began her collegiate career at Eastern Wyoming College before transferring to Danville Area Community College for her sophomore year.
Bastida Olivares is a native of Barcelona, Spain, where her basketball career began. She qualified to play in the best league in Catalonia and was awarded one of the five best players in on of her tournaments in 2019.
Bastida Olivares completed her Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Information Design from Central Connecticut State and is working on her Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership. She will be managing the team's logistics as well as graphics and social media.
