Iustin Baciu joined the women's tennis coaching staff as an assistant coach in the fall of 2018.

Baciu played a pivotal role alongside head coach Anca Dumistrecu in the Bucs' 2021 Big South Championship season that saw a 6-0 record, the program's second NCAA Tournament appearance, fifth regular season title and fourth unbeaten season in league play all-time.

Baciu, a Romanian native, played for the University of Northwestern Ohio from 2014-18 before graduating with a degree in Business Administration and Management. He finished his playing career as a two-time WHAC Regional doubles champion, as well as a one-time Regional singles champion. He achieved a No. 3 nationally ranking in NAIA doubles play and was ranked as high as No. 17 in NAIA singles competition. 

Baciu also served as tennis pro at Creekside Tennis & Swim Club.
