Tyson McDowell joined the Buccaneers in 2025 as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach.

McDowell arrives at CSU after his role as a Strength and Conditioning Intern, working with the University of South Carolina Football program. In this role, he designed and developed strength and conditioning programs, as well as individualized rehabilitation strategies for 30 plus athletes.

During that time, he also worked as a Personal Trainer at Onelife Fitness where he created athletic performance plans for both high school and collegiate athletes. Helping them focus on speed, agility, and injury resilience.

He graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2022 with a Bachelor's of Science in Sport and Entertainent Management. He then went on to get his Master's of Science in Exercise Science from USC in 2024.Â
