KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – Layne Lambert had one of the top weeks of his season this week at Appalachian State's Irish Creek Collegiate. He tied for the individual runner-up title after the two rounds of play and lost in a playoff hole for the solo championship.
 
Lambert finished with a total score of -4 shooting scores of 67 and 69 between the two rounds. He tied with Vinny Cervantes of Marquette who had scores of 72 and 64 at the event. This becomes the second time this season that he has claimed first at a tournament as he won the Laker Spring Break Shootout earlier this spring.
 
As a team, the Buccaneers finished 14^th in the field and had five other student-athletes travel to the event. The others included Alex North (T72, +13), Dewi John (T80, +15), Theodor Takman (T80, +15), Michael Rauscher (T90, +20) and Griffin Tarver (T92, +21).
 
This served as the regular season finale for Charleston Southern. They will compete in the Big South Championships in Fripp Island, S.C. from Sunday, April 20 through Wednesday, April 23.
