BLACKSBURG, VA – Charleston Southern finished their time at the Doc Hale Invite on Saturday afternoon with the men's Distance Medley Relay squads highlighted the action.
The Buccaneers fielded three squads for the DMR on Saturday with the top team running a time of 9:58.47 for second and the other group having a time of 10:05.55 with the times ranking as the third and eighth fastest in school history. The faster group had
Griffin Gillespie,
Jayden Anderson,
Mason Raasch and
Martin Iriondo while the other had
Micah Gilpatric,
Hunter Adams,
Earlon Baker and
Caleb Kenyon.
Brennan Johnson claimed a top ten finish in the 200m with his time of 22.47. In the 800m,
Collin Kleinhen took second in the event with his time of 1:54.27 while his brother
Kaden Kleinhen, had a 1:55.73 for fourth.
Tarrell Miles finished with a personal best in the shotput with a throw of 14.88m to claim the tenth best performance in school history for the event.
Charleston Southern has their final regular season meet next weekend with them traveling to Mill Spring, North Carolina. They will take part in the two-day Tyron Mid-Winter Invitational from Friday, February 13 through Saturday, February 14. Following that, they will have the Big South Championships at the same facility from Friday, February 27 through Saturday, February 28.
