CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charleston Southern midfielder Nina Meyer was named the Big South Freshman of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.

This is the first Big South weekly honor of Meyer's young collegiate career and the first Big South weekly honor by a Buccaneer this season.

Meyer burst onto the scene for the Buccaneers this week. The freshman started both matches, and against Columbia College, she scored two goals and recorded an assist in 71 minutes of action, helping CSU route the Koalas 9-1 and tallying a match-high five points in the process. Meyer recorded her first collegiate goal, assist, and brace in this match.
