CHARLESTON – Monday, the Charleston Southern men's basketball program and Head Coach Saah Nimley announced the team's 2026-27 non-conference schedule, featuring 16 contests before the start of Big South Conference play. The slate includes six home games inside of Buccaneer Fieldhouse, two games as part of the inaugural Big South-SoCon scheduling alliance, and a pair of contests at the ETSU Multi-Team Event in Johnson City.
Before the regular season begins, CSU will host Queens for an October 22nd, open exhibition at 7:00 PM in the Buc Dome. The Buccaneers will officially tip off the season on November 2nd with a road matchup against the South Florida Bulls before returning home three days later to host Columbia International in the team's home opener. Charleston Southern will then travel to face Wake Forest before welcoming West Georgia to the Buc Dome for the first meeting between the two programs in school history.
Charleston Southern will participate in the inaugural Big South-SoCon scheduling alliance beginning November 18th when the Buccaneers host Wofford College before traveling to Mercer three days later for the conference alliance's second contest.
On Thanksgiving week, the Bucs will make a trip to James Madison before heading to Johnson City, Tennessee, for the ETSU Multi-Team Event. There, CSU will face host ETSU on November 27th before taking on Morehead State the following day.
December opens with a pair of familiar in-state opponents as Charleston Southern hosts The Citadel on December 1st before traveling to South Carolina State on December 5th. The Buccaneers will then return home to host Warren Wilson before making a road trip to North Florida on December 16th.
The non-conference slate concludes with a home matchup against the Piedmont Lions on December 18th before road contests at IU Indy and Old Dominion on December 22nd and December 28th, respectively, giving the Buccaneers one final opportunity to build momentum before opening Big South Conference competition.
