FOOTBALL

BAG POLICY

Charleston Southern changed its stadium security regulations in 2017 and will limit fans to one clear plastic bag no larger than 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches or a one-gallon, clear, resealable plastic storage bag per person.

Fans are also allowed a small clutch purse not to exceed 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches. Wallets must also conform to this size requirement.

No other bags will be allowed inside. All items, including clear bags and clutch purses, are subject to search at the gates. No items can be left or stored at the gates.

TICKET INFORMATION

Everyone, ages 3 and older, must have a ticket.

To expedite entry into the stadium, we recommend that each individual hold their own ticket to optimize scanning procedures. All tickets will be electronically scanned to verify authenticity. Tickets will be scanned as patrons enter the stadium, and once a ticket has been scanned, it cannot be reused by another guest.

Fans cannot leave the stadium and be readmitted.

Assistance with any ticket problem can be obtained by contacting the Charleston Southern Athletics Ticket Office at (843) 863-7213.

The Athletics Ticket Office is located inside the Buccaneer Field House.

Player/Guest Will Call is also located at the main entrance at the Buccaneer Stadium Center.

If available, game day tickets are on sale at the stadium at least 90 minutes prior to game time and remain on sale through the end of the first half.

PARKING & TRAFFIC

Game Day parking for all lots surrounding Buccaneer Field is reserved for pass holders. Donors who have previously requested and paid for parking permits will receive their passes in the mail before the season. Improperly parked vehicles or those found in a restricted area will be towed at the owner's expense.

Parking in the general admission lot is $5 (cash only) per vehicle on game day. Parking lots open four hours prior to kickoff (2 p.m.). Guests of other campus events and residents who have campus parking permits will be allowed to proceed to the rear of the campus without paying admission.

PROHIBITED & PERMITTED ITEMS

Unmanned aircraft restrictions will be implemented in accordance with state and federal laws; specifically, drone use is not authorized on or above campus without approval from the FAA.

Prohibited Items

All persons entering the stadium are subject to search. Charleston Southern reserves the right to examine the contents of any container brought into the venue. To protect the safety of our fans, players, officials, and staff, the following items are prohibited.

Please do not attempt to bring these or similar articles into the venue. Items will not be stored at the gate or venue for pickup after the game.

  • Alcoholic beverages or other beverages
  • Signs, flags or banners
  • Fireworks or any explosive
  • Noisemakers
  • Folding chairs
  • Food
  • Illegal drugs
  • Weapons
  • Large strollers
  • Umbrellas
  • Selfie stick
  • Smoking - including e-cigarettes - is prohibited inside the venue at all times
  • Large bags/backpacks
  • Diaper bags
  • Pets (except service animals)
  • Unmanned aircraft (drones)
  • Coolers/containers (unless with medical supplies)
  • Cameras with a detachable lens 6 inches or longer

Permitted Items

The following items are permitted inside the venue:

  • Small clutch purses no larger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches
  • Mobile phones
  • Binoculars (without case)
  • Cameras (without case)
  • Seat cushions without arms of pockets
  • Radios with headsets
  • Diapers and non-medically necessary items for babies and young children must be carried in a clear bag

GUIDELINES FOR BUCCANEER FIELD

The following guidelines apply to all Charleston Southern events at Buccaneer Field:

  • All fans, ages 3 and older, must have a ticket for admission to Buccaneer Field.
  • No pass-out checks (re-entry) are allowed. In the event of inclement weather, please retain your ticket stub for readmission. If the stadium is cleared due to inclement weather, you may reenter the stadium with your ticket stub. Everyone will again be subject to search.
  • This ticket is a revocable license for the ticket holder to gain admission to an event sponsored by Charleston Southern Athletics. Charleston Southern reserves the right, without the refund of any portion of the ticket purchase price, to refuse admission to or eject any patron from the event venue at any time, for any reason permitted by law.
  • Dates and times on game tickets are subject to change.
  • University policies and state and federal laws will be in effect.
  • The violation of any rules may prevent admission to a Charleston Southern athletic event, removal from an event, and jeopardize the violator's admission into subsequent Charleston Southern athletic events, including the forfeiture of season tickets and the ability to purchase single-game tickets.

CHARLESTON SOUTHERN FAN CODE OF CONDUCT

Charleston Southern football should be an enjoyable experience for all fans. In order to promote athletic excellence and fan enjoyment, we ask for your assistance in displaying a high degree of sportsmanship at all times.

Charleston Southern reserves the right to remove from the stadium those individuals whose conduct disrupts players, coaches, officials or other fans (e.g., throwing objects, abusive acts or use of vulgar language). NO refunds will be given in these cases. Any person entering the field of play at any time will be subject to arrest.

BIG SOUTH FAN CODE OF CONDUCT

The Big South Conference and its member institutions are committed to creating a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience for all fans. We want all event attendees to enjoy the experience in a responsible fashion. When attending an event, you are required to refrain from the following behaviors:

- Behavior that is unruly, disruptive, or illegal in nature.

- Intoxication or other signs of impairment that results in irresponsible behavior.

- Foul or abusive language or obscene gestures.

- Interference with the progress of the event (including throwing objects onto the playing surface.

- Failing to follow instructions of event personnel.

- Verbal or physical harassment of participants, officials, fans or event personnel.

Event attendees are responsible for their conduct. Event staff will promptly intervene to support an environment where fans can enjoy the event free from the above behavior. Event attendees that violate these provisions may be subject to ejection without refund and loss of ticket privileges for future events.

DISABLED SERVICES

Wheelchair seating is available at Buccaneer Field. Those fans needing a wheelchair space or accessible seating should visit or call the Ticket Office at (843) 863-7523. Requests must be received at least 48 hours prior to the event.

FIRST AID

Should you need immediate assistance, notify the nearest event staff member for directions to the closest first-aid facility. Medical facilities are equipped and staffed as limited first-aid treatment stations.

LOST AND FOUND

Lost and found for Buccaneer Field will be at the Buccaneer Field House on the Monday following home games between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Call (843) 863-7523 for any lost and found issues.

LOST PATRONS

Lost patrons and persons looking for lost patrons should proceed immediately to any guest services location throughout the stadium, or notify event staff security, a law enforcement officer.

STADIUM GATES

Stadium gates will open four and a half hours prior to kickoff. Be advised that all persons, upon entering property/stadium, consent to a search of their person and property at the time of entry and during their stay on the premises. Buccaneer Field has a no-re-entry policy; tickets can only be scanned for use once.

STADIUM TICKETS, REFUNDS/RESALES

The Ticket Office is located in the Buccaneer Field House. Tickets cannot be resold on any University-controlled grounds, including, but not limited to, Buccaneer Field, Buccaneer Field House and any adjacent parking lots. Lost, stolen, or counterfeit tickets are not the responsibility of management. There is a NO refund or exchange policy in effect on all tickets. Management reserves the right to refuse admission. Every person, regardless of age, must have a ticket to the event. The holder must present ticket upon request. It is the responsibility of the ticket holder to be familiar with all ticket usage rules and regulations, which can be found on the back of each ticket. Additional tickets can be purchased through the Ticket Office if available.

TOBACCO POLICY

Charleston Southern University is a tobacco-free campus. The policy, which includes the ban of electronic cigarettes, is in effect at all Charleston Southern facilities, as well as surrounding property owned, leased, or controlled by the University. These restrictions apply to all areas of Buccaneer Field. We request and appreciate your adherence and compliance with this University policy; violators are subject to ejection.

WILL CALL

The Charleston Southern Athletics Ticket Office WILL CALL will be open four hours prior to game time. CSU's Will Call is located at Buccaneer Plaza, in front of the Whitfield Stadium Center. The Visiting Team WILL CALL is located at the Drive-Thru gate located next to the gravel parking lot adjacent to Buc Club Drive.

BEVERAGE POLICY (ALCOHOL)

The possession or consumption of alcohol of any kind on Charleston Southern University campus is expressly prohibited by University policy. Patrons in violation will be ejected. In an effort to encourage an enjoyable experience for all fans, persons who are intoxicated will be denied entry into the stadium, regardless of ticket possession.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

In the event of inclement weather approaching Buccaneer Field, public address and video announcements will be made to update fans on the situation. Should a lightning strike occur within 8 miles of the stadium, play will be stopped immediately. Play will resume 30 minutes after the last strike occurs within the 8-mile threat radius. Fans are encouraged to exit the venue and seek shelter in their vehicles during weather delays. All ticket stubs should be kept for re-entry into the stadium after the weather threat has cleared. Updates may also be communicated via CSUSports.com and Twitter.

GOLF CARTS, MOPEDS, SCOOTERS

For the safety of all concerned, the use of these motorized vehicles (other than those authorized) will not be allowed by fans in the vicinity of the stadium on game days. As a reminder, S.C. highway laws do not allow the use of golf carts on roadways outside of a four-mile radius from the registered address or place of business of the registered operator and must be permitted by the S.C. Department of Motor Vehicles.

LIABILITY

Neither Charleston Southern University nor the Buc Club will be liable for loss or damage to vehicles parked or contents on CSU properties as well as surrounding property owned, leased, or controlled by the University.

MEDIA PARKING

Media parking is located in the gravel lot located next to Buccaneer Field through the Drive-Thru gate. Members of the media should request parking credentials from the Charleston Southern University Athletics Communications Office. For more information, please call (843) 863-7853.

RV PARKING

RV Parking is available in the grass lot located across Buc Club Drive from Buccaneer Field.

PARKING LOTS

The gates to lots adjacent to Buccaneer Field will open six hours prior to kickoff, but no earlier than 8 a.m. Vehicles should be removed no later than two hours after the conclusion of the game.

RESTROOMS

Portable restrooms will be available for use once parking lots open. Restrooms are also located on the below section B on the home side of Buccaneer Field, and next to the concessions stand located on the Visitor's side of the stadium. There will also be a restroom facility located next to gravel lot near the Drive-Thru gate.

SECURITY

Charleston Southern University makes every attempt to ensure fans are able to enjoy the festivities surrounding the game. If you observe threatening or illegal behavior, do not hesitate to contact law enforcement or event staff security. If you see something, say something. Uniformed officers from various law enforcement agencies, and event staff security, are stationed throughout the tailgating areas, game day facilities, and Buccaneer Field for your safety.

TAILGATING

Tailgating is permissible around your vehicle, but not in any drive areas. Drive areas must be cleared to allow access for emergency vehicles.

TENTS

Tents should be no larger than 10' x 10' and be contained within the individual parking space.

Tents should be properly weighted down to ensure the tent does not blow away during high winds. Tents should be dismantled prior to guests leaving for the game. Unattended tents are subject to removal by University officials at their discretion.

BAND PERFORMANCES

Live music is not allowed at tailgating sites.

FLAMMABLES

Charcoal grilling is prohibited in all Charleston Southern tailgating property owned, leased or controlled by the University. All grilling must be propane gas.

TOWING

Towing of vehicles impeding the flow of traffic or obstructing the right of a member to park in assigned parking is imminent. Once a tow truck has arrived at the vehicle in violation, negotiations will be strictly between the towing company and the vehicle owner.

TRASH/RECYCLING

The University conveniently places receptacles for the disposal of trash and recyclables throughout the stadium and parking areas. Help us keep the area enjoyable by disposing all bagged trash into these receptacles. Fans are encouraged to utilize recycling containers for appropriate items.

UTILITY TRAILERS

Utility trailers are allowed in the University-operated lots with an appropriate parking pass for the vehicle and an appropriate parking pass for the trailer.

VENDORS/POLITICAL MATERIALS & SOLICITATIONS

Unauthorized soliciting or vending of goods or services is strictly prohibited throughout the Buccaneer Field and parking lots owned by the University on game day. Also, distribution of political stickers, brochures, promotional items, or other unauthorized solicitations is strictly forbidden on properties owned or leased by the University.
