Ellie Cook joined the Charleston Southern athletic staff in April 2025 as the Director of Compliance.
She arrived with the Buccaneers after spending two-and-a-half years working in the Fort Lewis athletic department while she was a student-athlete there. She began in the role as the Athletic Compliance Intern in July of 2022 and served in the role until July of 2024 when she was promoted to Athletic Compliance Assistant. She served in that role until she arrived in Charleston. She served as the liaison for the softball and volleyball programs, teaching coaches how to use the eligibility center, informing current student-athletes about the rules and regulations at the NCAA DII level and monitored and updated all required paperwork for official visits.
Additionally, during May and June of 2024, she attended the NCAA Career in Sports Forum. This was hosted in Indianpolis by the NCAA where it compiled 200 student-athletes from across the nation that were able to learn more about athletic office internal relations as well as hear presentations from coaches across across all three levels of NCAA collegiate athletics.
She graduated from Fort Lewis College in December of 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Administration. While at Fort Lewis, she was a three-year member of the women's soccer program.
