Ross Pryor

Ross Pryor enters his first season at Charleston Southern after joining the program in the summer of 2025.

He comes to Charleston Southern after six seasons of coaching Florida at the high school level. For the 2023 and 2024 seasons, Pryor served as the Head Football Coach at Wellington High School. 

Before becoming Head Coach at Wellington HS, he was the Defensive Coordinator, Special Teams Coordinator, and defensive line coach from 2020-2023. His first season coaching was spent at Lake Placid High School in Lake Placid, Florida where he was the defensive coordinator and strength coach in 2019.

Pryor played at Carson-Newman University where he was a team captain in 2018 and a two-year starter at defensive end and outside linebacker. He played under legendary head coach Kens Sparks for the 2015 and 2016 season. He graduated from Carson-Newman with his Bachelor's of Science in Business Marketing in December 2018.

Originally, he is from Houston, Texas and attended Kingwood HS as a two-sport athlete playing football and basketball. While there, he was an All- Area Defensive end and long snapper.Â
