Nate Louis is entering his sixth season, third as an assistant, on staff with Charleston Southern. His tenure at CSU began back in 2018 when he was a member of the basketball team for two seasons. A successful shooting threat himself, Louis still ranks in the top five in career three-point field goal percentage (42.5%) in CSU men's basketball history. In 2020-21, Louis joined the staff as the Video Coordinator, which aided the program in many operations and scouting efforts.

Louis played in 55 games in his two seasons at CSU, starting in 27 of them. He made 76 three-point field goals as a Buc highlighted by a 6-of-9 performance against Presbyterian his junior year.
Prior to his playing days as a Buccaneer, Louis played two seasons at South Georgia State College where he averaged 17.7 points and 6.1 assists per contest during his sophomore campaign. His 113 made three-point attempts and 196 assists both ranked in the Top-12 in all of junior college basketball during the 2017-18 season. Louis' high-level production on the floor was well-awarded as the future Buccaneer was selected as a NJCAA First-Team member as well as receiving multiple GCAA Player of the Week awards.
A proud Kissimmee, Florida native, Louis graduated from Poinciana High School where he was a part of the 2015-16 Class 5A State Championship team, the first boys' basketball state title in the school's history.
Not only was Louis a three-point specialist on the court, but perhaps his most impressive three points were achieved in the classroom as he is the owner of three college degrees: AA Degree in Pre-Allied Health from South Georgia State College (2018), Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Charleston Southern University (2020), and a Masters in Education also from Charleston Southern University (2024).
