High School: Originally from Gresham, Oregon where he attended Central Catholic High School and played under coach Steve Pyne ... Helped lead the squad to a state championship his senior season ... Named a First-Team All-State defensive back following his senior year ... In his senior year, he was a two-way player where he had 12 PBUs, an interception and 29 tackles while on the offensive side of the ball he had 480 receiving yards and six TD catches ... Also was a member of the baseball team ... Father, James Hiu, was a member of the football team at Linfield College.
