CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston Southern concludes its three-match homestand Tuesday, Nov. 2 at 6 p.m., playing host to conference rival Coastal Carolina. The Lady Bucs enter the match with a 10-17 record, 4-8 in Big South play, while Coastal is 14-13, and is 5th in the Big South at 7-5.

The Lady Bucs took LU to five sets, falling in the fifth set, 15-11. Amanda Hill posted her 17th double-double of the season, with 24 kills and 11 digs.
Coastal looks to finish its three-match away swing with a win, as the team went 1-1 this weekend, losing in three at Presbyterian Friday before sweeping Gardner-Webb Saturday.
Tuesday's match features the top two active players on the Big South all-time kills list. CSU's Amanda Hill is in 3rd place in conference history with 1,804 kills, while Chelsy Kimes of Coastal is in 7th with 1,737 kills.

WEEK IN REVIEW
CSU dropped a pair of matches to 20-win teams this past week,
falling to College of Charleston (22-5) and Liberty (20-8). Friday
against Liberty, the Lady Bucs held a 2-1 lead after three sets,
but the visitors stormed back for a 3-2 win.
Amanda Hill sent down her 1,800th career kill Friday, making her just the third player in Big South history with 1,800+ kills. She also posted her career-high-tying 17th double-double of the season.
Emily Libertowski became the 11th player in program history with 900 career digs during the setback to CofC, while Tricia Rodl posted her 1,300th career dig vs. Liberty. Against LU, Cori Holeman posted five blocks for the ninth time this season.
TOP OF THE HILL
Senior outside hitter Amanda Hill is third all-time in Big South
history with 1,804 career kills, surpassing current Liberty
assistant coach Jennifer (Belk) Vaden (1,789) Friday against
Liberty.
Hill was named Big South Choice Hotels Player of the Week on Sept. 13 and Oct. 18, and was named a Top Performer by Collegiate Volleyball Update on Oct. 19.
A three-time All-Big South selection, Hill is one of just three players to earn all-conference mention at least three times at CSU.
Hill has now posted the top three single-season kill totals in program history, including a record 499 in 2008 and 472 last season. She has 468 kills so far this year, passing Jennifer Monson's 2001 total of 466 on Friday.
SECOND TIME AROUND
The Lady Bucs finished the first half of the conference slate with
a 3-5 record, one win better than the 2009 squad's showing after
eight conference matches. This year, the team has gone 1-3 so far
in the second half of the Big South season schedule. CSU plays
three out of its remaining four regular season matches at home.
Last season, the Lady Bucs finished strong, with a 4-4 showing during the latter stages of conference play. CSU won four straight conference matches, from Oct. 27 through Nov. 6, 2009.
THE LAST TIME
Coastal Carolina earned a 3-0 sweep of CSU Sept. 21, 2010 in the

Amanda Hill paced CSU with eight kills and 16 digs, the only time she has been held under 10 kills during conference play this season. Cori Holeman added six kills and two solo blocks. Amy Nokes led the Lady Bucs with 22 assists, and Tricia Rodl contributed 14 digs.
Coastal's Erika Lightsey posted 13 kills at a .571 rate, while Chelsea Kimes added 15 kills.
CSU won the most recent home matchup with Coastal, winning 3-1 after dropping the first set Oct. 27, 2009 at CSU Field House.

one category.

season, and has five double-doubles.
Nokes has dished out 40 or more assists five times this season, most recently recording 40 Friday vs. Liberty.
Nokes has posted 1,215 career assists, good for sixth all-time at CSU.
She was one kill shy of a triple double Sept. 24 vs. Radford, and one dig shy of completing the feat Sept. 11 vs. Chattanooga.
Nokes broke her previous career high of 54 assists with 58 Oct. 8 vs. Asheville. Her 58 assists were the most since Sam Sasan dished out 64 at UNC-Asheville Oct. 2, 2009.
DOUBLE-DOUBLES ABOUND
Amanda Hill and Amy Nokes have earned double-doubles in the same
match on five occasions this season, including Sept. 24 vs. Radford
and Sept. 25 against High Point.
Saturday, Oct. 23 at Radford, Hill and Kayla Klinger each posted double-doubles, as Klinger recorded the first of her career.
Hill has registered 17 double-doubles this season, and has posted 63 for her career. With 24 kills and 11 digs Friday, she tied her career-high for double-doubles, recorded last season.
HOLEMAN NAMED DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF WEEK
Senior middle blocker Cori Holeman was named Big South Defensive
Player of the Week Oct. 18 after posting 13 blocks during a 3-0
week. It was her second conference honor this season, and third of
her career, as she was defensive player of the week Sept. 13.
On Oct. 15 at Presbyterian, Holeman posted eight blocks for the third time this season and fifth time in her career.
Holeman is second in the Big South in blocks per set overall (1.04) and first during conference matches, at 1.33. She set a program-record with 122 block assists in 2009.
LEADING THE WAY
CSU has recorded some of the top performances in the Big South this
season.
The Bucs' 73 kills Oct. 8 vs. Asheville were the most by a conference team this season, while their 15 blocks at Presbyterian Oct. 15 were third-most in a 2010 Big South match. Also in the UNCA match, Amanda Hill posted the most kills, 31, by a conference player since 2007. Amy Nokes' 58 assists vs. UNCA marked the second-most among any player in a Big South match this year.
During conference play, Cori Holeman leads the Big South with
1.33 blocks per set. Hill is 1st with 4.71 kills. Tricia Rodl is
second in digs in Big South competition, averaging 4.73 digs.
CHARLESTON SOUTHERN VS. COASTAL SERIES
Tuesday will serve as the 74th all-time meeting between CSU and
Coastal Carolina, with the Chanticleers holding a 41-32 edge. This
series spans all 32 years of Charleston Southern volleyball, one of
two active CSU rivalries which took place every year since 1979,
with Winthrop being the other.
The home team has won each of the last three matches between CSU and Coastal Carolina.
Coastal has claimed 35 out of the last 37 meetings in the series, a drastic shift from how the series began. CSU (then Baptist College) won the first 15 matchups against Coastal, and held a 30-6 all-time advantage over the Chanticleers following the 1994 season.
These two teams met in the first Big South Conference match that CSU Head Coach Danyel Bellush ever coached, a 3-0 CCU win Sept. 23, 1997.
