CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston Southern Head Men's Basketball
Coach Barclay Radebaugh shares his thoughts following CSU's 120-43
win over Toccoa Falls Tuesday, Nov. 30.
On the team's overall performance:
We were able to get some good pressure on the ball. No matter
who you play, the rotations are the same, and execution is
execution, no matter who you play. I thought, particularly the
first seven or eight minutes of the second half, our execution was
just tremendous, and our rotations defensively were outstanding.
You know, we put a big emphasis the last two days on defensive
improvement. Although Toccoa Falls is not a Division I team,
rotations are still the same. Boxing out is boxing out, you know,
and I thought we did some good fundamental things.
On the opportunity for contributions from a large number of
players:
We were able to work on some stuff, get some guys some
playing time. It was nice to see the smiling faces over there. We
have a hard practice week ahead of us in preparation for the team
picked to win our league, on the road.
On the team's next opponent, Big South rival coastal
Carolina:
I watched them on film today. They're just a tremendous team,
extremely well-coached; very, very physical. They're extremely
athletic, and it's a major challenge for us, but, I think, we have
to go there sometime.
