CHARLESTON, S.C.: Buccaneer point guard Saah
Nimley was named The Crons Brand Freshman of the Week for games
played Nov. 28-Dec. 4, as announced by the conference on Dec.
5.
In two games last week (both CSU victories), Nimley averaged 23
points, 2.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds while shooting 56% from the
field and 57% from three.
Against Radford on Dec. 1, Nimley led the Bucs with 22 points,
three rebounds and two assists while shooting 7-15 from the floor
(47%) and 3-7 from beyond the arc (43%).
On Dec. 3 against VMI, Nimley had a career high 24 points (8-12)
including going 5-7 (72%) from the three point line. Saah's five
three pointers are the second most by a Big South player this
year.
The Lawrenceville, Ga. native is currently 13th in the conference
in scoring average (14.0), 7th in assists (3.29), and 13th in three
pointers made per game (1.57).
Nimley leads the Buccaneers with 98 total points on 82 field
goal attempts while sitting second on the team in field goals made
with 34 and three point field goal attempts with 32.
