Hines second, Bucs fifth at Bulldog Invitational

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. - Tyre Hines finished only behind The Citadel's Kyle Keene at the Bulldog Invitational to claim individual silver at the Bulldog Invitational this morning at the Laurel Hill course in Mt. Pleasant this morning. The host Bulldogs finished first, while Charleston Southern was fifth in the 8k race.
Hines finished the race in 26:28, edging out North Greenville's Brett Morley by under five seconds. Other placers for the Buccaneers were Michael Marshburn (23rd, 29:26), Baxley Crosby (26th, 30:08), Martin Hutchens (29th, 32:23), and Joshua Mack (31st, 32:58).
The Buccaneers compete next two weekends from now at the Royal Cross Country Challenge hosted by Queens University in Charlotte as their final tuneup for the Big South Championships at the end of October.
