KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – Senior Torey Johnson finished in a tie for 36th place to highlight play for Charleston Southern at the Palmetto Intercollegiate on Monday afternoon at Kiawah Island's Turtle Point Golf Course. The Bucs finished 18th as a team in concluding their fall season at the three-round event.

Johnson carded an opening round one-over 73 to start off her excellent showing, before putting together scores of 79 and 77 to finish at 13-over par.
Kansas captured the team title with a three-round tally of 876 strokes, topping second-place Georgia State by three shots. Georgia State's Melissa Siviter took home the individual title, firing a final round five-under par 67 to finish at two-under for the tournament.
CSU senior Vanessa Jay was the next highest finisher for coach Matthew Cram-Smith and the Bucs, placing in a tie for 71st. Jay bounced back from an opening round 83 to card scores of 79 and 77. Sophomore Hannah Fairweather and freshman Shelby Thompson registered CSU's other sub-80 rounds for the tournament, as each delivered a middle round score of six-over par 78.
The Bucs' spring season will begin back at Turtle Point on March 2 as CSU competes in the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Spring Invitational.
