AUGUSTA, Ga. - Charleston Southern's women's golf team completed
the first day of the Insperity Lady Jaguar Intercollegiate tied for
15th place with Lamar at the Forest Hills Golf Club. This is the
first day of three on the par 72, 6,214-yard course, with a field
featuring six squads ranked in the top 50 in the nation in Division
I.
As usual, the Buccaneer seniors set the pace. Amanda D'Ostroph
shot a 78 to settle into a tie for 33rd with nine others. Katelyn
Bensch was two strokes back of D'Ostroph. Casey McNeil finished two
strokes back of Bensch, and Torey Johnson recorded an 83 to round
out the team scoring.
At tournament start, the weather was chilly but warmed almost 30
degrees as the day progressed.
The tournament is being hosted by Augusta State University. Follow
