KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – Sophomore Emelie Flink finished 19th behind a 2-over 74 in the final round to lead Charleston Southern at the Palmetto Intercollegiate, which wrapped up Tuesday at Turtle Point Golf Club on Kiawah Island. CSU slipped two spots in the final round to finish 15th in the 20-team field.
Flink had three birdies in her final round to finish at 6-ver for the tournament and post her first Top 20 of the season. She had eight birdies in her tournament.  
The Buccaneers (+50) finished two shots back of Xavier (+48) and four back of Tulsa (+46). CSU finished ahead of Boise State, Virginia Tech, and Maryland, among others. 
Furman (+11) held on in the tough conditions on Tuesday to win by seven strokes over Chattanooga (+18). Campbell was third (+20), followed by Augusta (+22) and Illinois (+23) to round out the top five.    
Junior Bella Johnson had her best round of the event with a 75 to finish 69th. Sophomore Hayley McNeill added an 80 (+8) and was 63rd.  
Junior Shelby Thompson was 74th after an 82 in her final round.  
Sophomore Savannah Hallman closed a 78 (+6) and a round that included two birdies on the back nine.  
The event concludes the fall season for the Bucs.
