WBB Preview: Bucs open up their home schedule Monday night against Paine

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston Southern opens their 2015-16 home schedule on Monday night as the Buccaneers host Paine in the Buc Dome. Tipoff between the Bucs and theLions is set for 7 p.m.

Bucs Against Paine under Fred Applin
Charleston Southern has faced off against Paine once before in the Fred Applinera at CSU with the Bucs hosting the Lions on November 24, 2012. CSUtopped Paine 82-70 that night inside the Buc Dome with five players scoringdouble-digits in the game.

Lakeitha Alston had 15 points and a team-high nine rebounds in the contest,while Erin Bratcher and Shay Jones added 14 points apiece for CSU. AniciaDotson was also in double-digits for the first time in the season with 10 pointsas Charleston Southern shot 50.9 percent (29-for-57) from the floor as a teamin the victory.

Charleston Southern is home for four of their first six games with the Bucshosting Paine (Nov. 16), Warner (Nov. 19), Wofford (Nov. 23), ColumbiaInternational (Nov. 24) and Winthrop (Dec. 1). Over the past three seasons,CSU is 7-0 at home in the month of November winning by an average margin of36.1 points (85-48.9) against their opponents at home.

Charleston Southern was unable to overcome a second half deficit despite an18-7 run in the fourth period as the Buccaneers fell in their season opener atClemson, 43-36.

Alyssa Mann scored seven of her team-high 11 points during the fourthquarter span to pace the Buccaneers (0-1) offense on the day, while MoniqueMaximilien added seven points and nine rebounds from the floor in their seasondebut at Jervey Gym.
