Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Charleston Southern wrapped up their holiday week on the road with a 67-52 win at Lipscomb.
The Buccaneers (3-2) never trailed in the contest and had two players shoot for double-digits. Alyssa Mann put up three three-pointers and shot 80% (4-5) from the charity line. Saturday's victory marked the redshirt-senior's fourth 10+ point-game this season and the 42nd double-digit game of her career. Ke'Asia Jackson also recorded her fourth double-digit game this season; contributing 12 points to the Bucs' 15-point win.
"Alyssa Mann and Ke'Asia Jackson shot the ball and helped make it a great road win for the Bucs," said CSU Head Coach Fred Applin.
CSU was strong in the paint, holding a 30-24 point advantage over Lipscomb and capitalizing on second-chance points with a 14-9 advantage over the Bisons. Elyse Kiploks gave her best offensive and defensive performance of the season with six points and 14 rebounds for the Bucs.
"Elyse Kiploks did a great job and gave an impressive rebounding performance tonight," Applin said.
Lipscomb (1-5) put up tough fight, cutting the Bucs' lead down to eight points two times in the third period. Alex Banks was a standout player for the Bisons. The redshirt-senior had a double-double, with 21 points and 12 rebounds in the contest. Banks was Lipscomb's only player to hit double-digits and shot 60% (3-5) from beyond the arc.
The Buccaneers now turn their attention back home as they welcome South Carolina State to the Buc Dome next Sunday. Tipoff is set for 2:00 p.m.
