BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Gardner-Webb shot nearly .600 from the floor in the opening 20 minutes on their way to a 74-62 win over Charleston Southern Sunday afternoon in Big South play.

Phlandrous Fleming Jr. paced all scorers once again turning-in a 32-point effort while grabbing seven rebounds, stealing four passes and handing out three assists. Gardner-Webb (5-9, 4-5 Big South), however, used three players in double figures and 13-made three-point baskets to build a 20-point lead over Charleston Southern (1-12, 0-9 Big South).
The home Runnin' Bulldogs built a 44-26 lead at the break knocking down seven treys and balanced scoring from Jaheam Cornwall, Jordan Sears, Kareem Reid and D'Maurian Williams.
Sunday's 32-point effort was the second for Fleming on the season and fifth time the Athens, Ga., native scored 20-plus.
