CHARLESTON, S.C. - The CSU men's golf team will return to action on April 12-13 for The Wofford Intercollegiate in Spartanburg, S.C.
The Bucs will tee off at 8 a.m. at the Country Club of Spartanburg for their final match before the Big South Championships the next week.
The match will be a total of 54 holes of stroke play with each team playing two rounds the first day followed by one final round on the second day.
Six other Big South schools will be in the field of 15 teams including Winthrop, Longwood, Presbyterian, Gardner-Webb, Radford, and USC Upstate.
The starting lineup for the Bucs this Monday will include Jake Carter, Tyler Beeck, Ben Carroll, Parker Jones, and Alan Smith. All five athletes have been staples of the starting roster this regular season. Frederick Topgaard will also be in the mix in the field competing as an individual.
Carter is coming off a seventh-place finish at The Furman Intercollegiate where he shot the hot round of 70 (-1) during the first round of competition. Carter finished the event +1 to propel the Bucs to a fifth-place team finish.
Beeck will also look to continue his solid play this season as he is tied with Carter for scoring average over the past six tournaments. Beeck finished 38th last week (+8) over the three-round tournament.
