Bucs dominate doubles at Florence Wild Card over the weekend

FLORENCE, S.C. – Charleston Southern women's tennis dominated the doubles field at the Florence Wild Card over the weekend with Madalina Mana and Laura Marti taking the title (6-3, 2-6, 1-0) and teammates Zoe Cauthen and Tiffany Pyritz finishing second.

With the win, Man and Marti receive a Wild Card bid into the 25K tournament in October.

It was also all Bucs in the semifinals of doubles play as Luiza Fullana and Khyanna Singh outlasted their counterpart 4-6, 6-0, 1-0 before falling to Cauthen and Pyritz in the semifinals.

In singles play, Luiza Fullana made a run to the semifinals with a 6-7, 6-1, 1-0 and 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 win over her first two matches. Laura Marti also made a run with a 6-3, 6-0 win in the quarterfinals but fell in straight sets in the semifinals.
