Bucs show out at FSU Invite Friday morning
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Charleston Southern men's cross country had another strong showing in just their second meet of the season placing fourth at the FSU XC Open Friday morning.
The Buccaneers finished with 141 points behind only national powers Stanford and Florida State as well as Palmetto rival Furman for a fourth-place finish in the men's 8K race. The Bucs edged out Eastern Michigan for a fourth-place finish besting the Eagles by two points.
Fearghal Curtin placed fifth in the meet with a time of 23:57.4 just :30 behind the individual champion from Florida State.
Micah Gilpatric (19) placed among the field's top-20 running a personal best 8K time of 24:24.9 while
Alan Deogracias (27, 24:40.6),
Jaymee Domoney (52, 25:17.4),
Gavin Kuhlenbeck (55, 25:22.1),
Alex Zangara (69, 25:45.1) and
Rob Howorth (70, 25:45.1) all placed among the top-70 of a field that saw over 254 runners.
Deogracias, Kuhlenbeck, Zanagara and Howorth all ran 8K personal-best times Friday morning helping the Bucs finish ahead of No. 25 Southern Utah and Power Five institutions Auburn, Clemson and Miami (Fla.).

Matt Inman (169, 27:48.8) all placed among the top-170 with Thomas shattering his old PR by over a full minute Frida morning.
