Opening Tip
• The Buccaneers will open Big South play at Buccanner Fieldhouse for the seventh season in a row, going 2-4 in the previous six contests.
Â
• The season series went in favor of the Runnin' Bulldogs a season ago, with Gardner-Webb winning both of the back-to-back contests in the special conference format. Each one of the tilts were played in Boiling Springs, N.C.
Â
• Charleston Southern returns home in front of its home fans after a two-game slate in the Cobb Dill & Hammett Classic, hosted by The Citadel, December 20-21. The first game saw Manhattan best the Bucs behind a strong performance from former Runnin' Bulldog Jose Perez, who finished with 24. The final match-up saw South Carolina State erase a two-point CSU lead at the midway break to spoil the Bucs' bid of a 1-1 Classic.
Â
• Â
Claudell Harris Jr. is coming off a breakout handful of games at the Cobb Dill & Hammett Classic, leading the way with 13 points against Manhattan and closing the two-day event with a team-high 18 against South Carolina State.
