CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Charleston Southern women's basketball team looks to end its three-game losing streak this Sunday in Greenville, N.C. against the East Carolina Pirates. The Bucs are 1-3 to start the season, coming off of a 74-34 loss against George Mason on Wednesday.
This will be just the second time these two teams have faced off in their history. The 2000-01 season was the last time that CSU and ECU played against each other, with the Pirates taking home the victory 92-65 at the Buc Dome.
Charleston Southern
- Turnovers continued to hinder the Bucs in their loss against George Mason. They are now averaging a little over 24 turnovers per game, while forcing 14.5 per game.
- The Buccaneers are shooting 36.9% from the field, while allowing opponents to shoot 45.0%.

- Kennedi Jackson is leading the team with three blocks and 6.3 rebounds per game this season. She is also the leading scorer with 9.0 points per game.
East Carolina
The Pirates come into this game with a record of 3-1, having played all of their games at home this season. Last time out, they defeated fellow Big South member, High Point, in overtime 65-54. They outscored the Panthers 12-1 in the overtime period.
East Carolina is led by Kim McNeill, who is in her fourth season in Greenville. She has preached defense in her time at East Carolina. In her second season, the Pirates led the country in steals. A year ago, she led her team to an 11-18 (4-11) record. They were picked to finish last in the AAC this season.
