CHARLESTON, S.C. – Charleston Southern women's tennis stayed perfect at home with a statement 4-3 win over visiting College of Charleston Friday afternoon at the Gary Clark Banks Sr. Tennis Center. The Bucs took the doubles point before winning the final three flights in singles.

The match started with Charleston Southern (3-2) taking the doubles point as
Luiza Fullana and
Laura Marti won at the second flight and
Khyanna Singh and
Madalina Man won at flight number three.

In singles play, College of Charleston (1-3) earned wins at the first three flights to come just one point shy of clinching the match. Charleston Southern picked up wins at four and six, leaving the fifth flight as the deciding game.
Khyanna Singh earned the fourth point for the Bucs at #5 singles to clinch the 4-3 match win.

The win gives the Bucs just their second win in 23 tries against the Cougars, with the only other win coming back in the 2019 campaign.

The Bucs are back at home for their next affair, as Head Coach
Anca Dumitrescu's side opens Big South play with North Carolina A&T. The conference opener is set for a 1:00 p.m. start at the Gary Clark Banks Sr. Tennis Center.
