Furman Stands as Women's Tennis' First Road Affair

CHARLESTON, S.C. – After the adjusted weekend slate, Charleston Southern women's tennis is set to travel to Greenville, South Carolina to take on Southern Conference member Furman as the match stands as the first road affair for the Bucs. The action is set for a 3:30 p.m. start at the Mickel Tennis Center.
 
MORE THAN ONE SHOW
Charleston Southern won't be the only team Furman will see Saturday, as the Paladins are slated to take on 12th-ranked Duke prior to the start of the CSU match. The first match of the day is set for an 11:00 a.m. start.
 
HIGH REGARD
Furman sports two names on the ITA Division I National Rankings, senior Julia Adams comes in ranked 45thnationally in singles competition and freshman Sara Snyder is not far behind at 65th. The Paladins are 4-2 on the year, with the two losses coming against 25th-ranked Auburn and 17th-ranked Oklahoma while wins come against Virginia Commonwealth, Emmanuel, UAB and Nebraska.
 
Charleston Southern comes into the match with a 1-0 record, the lone win coming at home over Wofford. Furman marks the second-straight opponent from the Southern Conference that the Bucs will see.
 
NEW FACES
The two sides have met just one time, with Furman claiming a 6-1 victory back in Greenville in the 2018-19 campaign. Tiffany Pyritz and Madalina Man stand as the only two current Bucs that saw action that day, as the duo fell 6-4 at #1 doubles.
