CHARLESTON, S.C. – Charleston Southern women's tennis earned its seventh victory of the season, completing the 7-0 sweep of Mercer early Wednesday morning. The win marks the second-straight sweep for the Bucs, both matches coming at an early start time. Â

The match started with Charleston Southern (7-3) making quick work of the doubles competition, taking all three flights 6-4. The doubles competition finished in numerical order for the first time this season as well.

Singles went the way of the Bucs as well, as Mercer (6-7) was unable to get a point at any singles flight. Charleston Southern was able to take each of the six singles flights in straight sets, including a strong showing by
Zoe Cauthen who won easily 6-2, 6-1.
Madalina Man won 6-2, 6-4 at the second singles flight and
Tiffany Pyritz cruised to a 6-4, 6-1 victory at the fifth singles flight.

Charleston Southern's win Wednesday morning moves the overall series to 2-0 in favor of the Bucs.Â

The Bucs now turn their focus back over to the Big South side of things as they hit the road to Buies Creek, N.C. to take on conference foe Campbell. The Big South affair is set for a 12:00 p.m. start.
