HILTON HEAD, S.C. –Â
Layne Lambert was the top finisher for Charleston Southern Men's Golf in the early week, as a 54-hole total of 225 (+9) was enough to take home a top-30 finish in a strong field. As a team, the Bucs finished 12th with a three-round total of 913 (+49).
David Amm carded a 230 (+14) to finish in a tie for 44th, while
Griffin Tarver matched Amm's 230.
Ben Carroll finished T-60
th with a +17, 233 and
Dewi John rounded out the CSU team card seven shots back from Carroll at 240 (+24) after a final round 77.

Lambert used his final round to move up the leaderboard, carding a 73 after shooting a 76 in each of the first two rounds. Carroll turned in a team-best 71 (-1) in the opening round of the event as it stood as the best round for the Bucs across the board.

South Carolina Aiken took home the team title at 879 (+15) while Dayton come in five strokes back to finish second. Francis Marion entered the final day atop the standings but fell two spots to a tie for third with Richmond to round out the podium on the team side of things.

The Wexford Intercollegiate was played at Wexford Plantation in Hilton Head, S.C. and played at 6,913 yards, set at a par 72.

UP NEXT
Charleston Southern takes a month off before returning to the links for the All-American Intercollegiate March 20-21. The event will be hosted by the University of Houston and will take place at the Golf Club of Houston.
