Charleston Southern's track and field team competed at the 2023 NCAA East Preliminary this past week. The Buccaneers had several strong performances, including by Michael Calhoun's 17.41m throw in the shot put. Shawn Langley Jr. also had a strong showing in the 400m, running a time of 47.47. Luciano Custodio ran a time of 53.54 in the 400m hurdles. Micah Gilpatric ran a time of 29:21.93 in the 10K to finish 14th overall. Chole Greene threw a distance of 40.10m in the javelin.

On Saturday, the 4x100m relay team of Destiny Wallace, Grenisha Thomas, Chaneal Harris, and Dylann Core combined for a time of 45.79 in the relay.
