Men’s and Women’s Golf Announce 2023 Fall Schedule

CHARLESTON, S.C. – First-year Head Coach Chan Metts has announced the men's and women's golf schedule for the 2023 fall season. The men's team will participate in five tournaments over the fall months, while the women's team will play in four.
 
Men's Golf
The men's golf team will play four of their five tournaments in the state of South Carolina, starting with a trip to Pawley's Island, S.C. Golfweek Fall Event at the True Blue Golf Club on Sept. 10-12.
 
After that, they will make their farthest trip of the fall season to participate in the VCU Shootout in Richmond, VA on Sept. 18-19. This will be their second year in a row competing in the event, as they took home the first-place trophy in September of 2022.
 
Then, the Bucs head to Spartanburg, S.C. to compete in the Carolina Cup Oct. 6-10. This will be hosted by USC Upstate. The final road trip of the season will be to Greenville, S.C. to participate in the Furman Invitational Oct. 21-22.
 
Charleston Southern wraps up the 2023 fall season by hosting the Daniel Island Intercollegiate at the Daniel Island Country Club Oct. 29-31.
 
Women's Golf
The women's golf team will compete in the same tournament to start the year as the men's team, as they will be at the Lance Ringler Caldonia Golf Club on Pawley's Island, S.C. Sept. 10-12 before hitting the road to compete in the Elon Invitational Sept. 18-19.
 
After that, they will head to Edisto, S.C. where The College of Charleston is hosting the Edisto Invitational Oct. 16-17. The Bucs took were crowned tournament champions here just one year ago. 
 
To finish the fall season out, they will play their fourth and final tournament of the fall in Savannah, GA, Georgia Southern hosts The Southern Invitational Oct. 23-24.
 
The Bucs look to continue the success that they sustained from last year, as the men's team was able to make it to the Big South Championship, while the women's team placed fourth in the conference tournament.
