DAVIDSON, N.C. - The defense was flawless again, as the Charleston Southern women's soccer team went on the road and defeated the Davidson Wildcats 2-0 on Thursday night. This was their second shutout win of the season.
After a scoreless first half, the Bucs (3-1-1) got it going in the second half with a pair of goals in just under four minutes of play. At the 62:00 minute mark,
Claire Deangelis scored her second goal of the season. The goal was assisted by
Elin Persson. A few minutes later,
Dakota Fiedler made it 2-0 with her first goal of the season at the 65:52 mark of the contest.
The Bucs had just three shots all night with both shots in the second half going in the goal. The Wildcats (2-3-0) had 10 shots and three shots on goal.
Sara Curtis played in all 90 minutes and had three saves to cap off CSU's second shutout of the season.
