CHARLESTON – Thursday night, Charleston Southern hosted Warren Wilson College to open a three-game homestand. The Buccaneers rolled to a 124–63 victory.
In the first four minutes, CSU's Armari Carraway and Jesse Hafemeister combined for seven three-pointers, surging ahead 21–2. The duo didn't slow down. Just three minutes later— with roughly 13 minutes remaining in the first half— they sparked another 14-point run that stretched the CSU lead to 41–8. A 50-point margin sent the Buccaneers into the locker room with a commanding 74–24 halftime advantage.
Carraway and Hafemeister, who combined for 47 first-half points, opened the second half by scoring CSU's first seven points. The Bucs reached the 100-point mark with 7:32 remaining on a Jacob Taylor layup as Coach Nimley's reserves handled most of the closing minutes, cruising to a 61-point win—the program's largest margin of victory since 2017.

Post-Game Points:
"I really appreciate the effort and approach from our guys tonight. I really think they went about this thing the right way. They were focused. They executed offensively. They shared the ball. Defensively, we executed at what we do. When the shots go in like that, I think that's probably why the game opened up like it did… Credit to our guys. Those guys play. I stand on the side. They play. They decide to do things right, and they were able to reap the benefits tonight," said CSU Head Coach Saah Nimley.
Regarding his team's offensive tempo that seems to always be high this season, Coach was asked if there was an extra emphasis placed on establishing that quick tempo right when the game started. Nimley answered, "We've talked about that over the last couple of days… we just haven't been feeling the pace. That's one of our standards, but we haven't been feeling it the last couple games… just challenging our guys to go about it the right way… Credit to our guys for going out there and running the floor and establishing that pace. I felt it out there in the first half."
When asked what it feels like to have seemingly countless players on his roster that are capable of a high-volume scoring night, Nimley responded, "It's great because you never have to worry about a specific guy not playing well. For us, we kind of go to the next guy, and we've got a bunch of dudes that stay ready. (Armari Carraway) pops his head up today, and shot 11-of-16 from three. Jesse (Hafemeister) 6-of-7 from three. It can be anybody's night. Again, we have those daily contributors, but there are guys that are ticking time-bombs in that locker room where they can go for 20 on any given night… I'm happy to see (Carraway) have his day today."
When asked if the new-program record of 24 made three-pointers means anything to him, Nimley responded, "It's just another credit to the guys in our locker room. Those guys are really skilled. We set out to find guys that can make shots… and we found those guys. They work hard on their crafts… They deserve all the credit. Those guys are really talented. It's a good feeling as a coach to see the ball go in the way it does."
With 13 CSU players scoring during Thursday's contest, Coach was asked how it feels to see that many different bodies contribute for a program that has not been known for depth in recent years. Nimley commented, "It's good. We work on a lot of stuff, so when you see some of the kids that played toward the end, they did some of the things that we work on. It's good as a coach to see those guys doing some of those things like playing off of two feet, making sound passes… when they carry our principles over like that, it tells me what we're emphasizing and working on is being implemented by everybody on our team."Â
