LYNCHBURG, VA – Charleston Southern Men's Track & Field finished off their time at the Darius Dixon Meet on the campus of Liberty University on Saturday evening. The top moment of the day came with a school record being broken in the 1K by
Kaden Kleinhen.
K. Kleinhen highlighted the team's performance on the day as he broke a school record in the 1K with his time of 2:31.22. This moves him from second to first on the school leaderboard for the event.
In the 200m,
Luciano Custodio was the top finisher for the Bucs at the meet with his time of 22.32 to claim 23
rd overall.
Talon Rowland also ran in the event at the meet.
Charleston Southern fielded four runners in the one mile at the meet with
Collin Kleinhen leading the way for the Bucs with his time of 4:15.01. Liam O'Donell,
Hayden Goode and
Zack Wedding also ran in it.
The day's action came to an end with the shot put as the Buccaneers put four student-athletes in it.
Michael Calhoun took third overall with a 17.18m (56' 4.25").
Odin Ferency threw a personal best of 16.06m (52' 8.25") to claim 8
th at the meet in the event and remain in 4
th in school history.
Aaron Pierce and
Dexter Ratliff also threw.
Charleston Southern will be back in action next Saturday for the USC Open to conclude the regular season. The following weekend they will compete in the Big South Championships which will be held from Friday, February 28 through Saturday, March 1 on the campus of the University of South Carolina.
