Buccaneer Men Complete Season at NCAA Regionals in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, FLA – Charleston Southern Men's Track and Field completed their time at the NCAA Regionals on Thursday afternoon. The Buccaneers had three student-athletes qualify for the meet with taking part in their events on Wednesday and Thursday. The week has featured each of the top 48 student-athletes in all events that are held.

Aaron Pierce had the top showing of the Charleston Southern entrees as he placed in 14th overall at the meet on Wednesday. The event saw the first three flights take place at their originally scheduled time, but a lightning delay forced the fourth one to be held during the evening. Through the first three flights of 12 competitors, he ranked in third as he had a career-best throw of 67.24m (220' 7") to break the school record that he held once again.

Due to the delays, Jaden Kingsley and the men's 10K got pushed back to 12:55 a.m. on Thursday morning. He ran a time of 30:47.37 in the race to claim 42nd overall.

Additionally with the lightning in the area, the men's shot put was delayed until Thursday afternoon. Michael Calhoun claimed a 30th place finish in the event as he went for 17.76m on his best throw of the day.

The meet ends the season for Charleston Southern with them beginning their offseason and preparing for the 2025-2026 season.
