CHARLESTON, S.C. - For game number 31 of the year, the final contest of their regular season, Charleston Southern traveled to Radford, Virginia to face off against the Highlanders.
The Bucs would spread the wealth offensively to start the first half as four different players (
Daylen Berry,
Taje' Kelly,
Keenan Wilkins, and
Reis Jones) would score the first four CSU field goals. A 61% shooting effort by Radford would springboard the Highlanders to an 11-point (40-29) lead.
The offense was run more through the Bucs' front runner for Big South Player of the Year,
Taje' Kelly as the game progressed. Kelly would finish two rebounds shy of a 22-point double-double. The star forward averaged 25.0 points and 10.0 rebounds against Radford this season.
Keenan Wilkins would also score in double-figures for the fifth time this season (14), and
Reis Jones would cross the double-figure mark as well with 12 points (tied for this third highest scoring performance on the year).
Radford's hot shooting start would cool off, but not by much. The Highlanders would shoot 47.1% from the field and the Bucs' 2-19 record against teams that outshoot them would follow the laws of probability as Radford would take home the 76-60 win on their senior day.
